25 people met at 7.45 and enjoyed an early start and breakfast at the Island Café - corner of Union Street and Southwark Bridge Road SE1.

Simon Hughes joined them and presented a prize to Fanny Abramczuk, the person at the breakfast who was commuting the longest distance by bike.

Fanny lives in Greenwich and cycles 7 miles across the Borough of Southwark to get to work at Clapham Junction. Like others in the Borough and throughout London she chose cycling as the cheapest, fastest and most satisfying mode of transport.
