Minutes of the May 2005 Meeting 19.00 Wednesday 11-05-09 Blackfriars Settlement 1. Introductions and not of April Meeting Introductions were made and minutes of the April meeting were approved. 2. T-shirts Richard Reynolds meets with Jeremy Deller tonight to agree the design for production. The preliminary viewing by Barry, Eleanor and Sue confirm that it is a very good design. 3. Projects Cycle Saturation - This is going very well with a 60% uptake of the students for full training. Bike breakfasts with CTUK have taken place and funding is now sought for proper covered bike racks. Mint Street - This is going well and the sponsor is doing publicity for the summer of cycling. A programme has now been agreed and the play leaders are going to be trained for the 8 days of events. Burgess Park Bike Track - Plans are gong ahead for the construction of a bigger workshop and there will be an opening day in the first day of Bike Week. TfL Funding - 7 new bids for TfL funding have been put forward. There is no cap on this so suggestions are welcome. 4. Bike Week With our programme events of well developed we need volunteers to help out in getting hold of maps, Rough Guides, Banners, cards and so on. Our stall will set up outside of Evans Cycles on London Bridge at 5.30 every evening. Ten will co-ordinate mass leafleting around the city and on London Bridge. Also we will run a stall on Wednesday and Thursday in the week before Bike Week. Also, in the week before Bike Week as part of London Sustainability Weeks Southwark, Greenwich and Lewisham Cyclists will be running a stall at the event in Greenwich Park including Dr. Bike. 5. Website This is running well at present. 6. Constitutional Changes. The draft of the new constitution was presented by Barry and discussed taking into consideration the changes to the wording of the child protection policy and non-profit statement. This will be presented on the e-list again for further discussion at the next meeting. 7. Newsletter Submissions need to be with Sue Richards by next Monday. 8. Accounts Accounts are looking good. We are already receiving money ahead of the Dunwich Dynamo. Our unrestricted funds are capable of underwriting the T-shirts and the training programme. 9. Rides Afterworkers tomorrow as well has Hilly Fields next week and the Hyde Park the week after. Sunday is the Sculpture Ride.
