1) PREVIOUS MINUTES
The minutes from the last meeting and AGM were agreed
but two issues were raised
> The need to clarify who was elected planning officer
– BM to talk to Alistair
> The need to draft a press release about the work to
install cycle stands, agreed at the AGM and still
outstanding
The smooth transfer of the web site to the new hosting
platform was noted and Kit thanked for overseeing this

2) MGMT TEAM
It was agreed to hold a management team meeting to
agree how to use this newly formed team to the best
advantage. It was agreed that proposals would be
shared with all members

3) INCREASING THE NUMBER OF CYCLE STANDS IN SOUTHWARK
Alistair has continued to undertake valuable work,
identifying with Roger’s Stocker (Cycling Officer)
colleague locations for new cycling stands. Help is
needed to complete the reccie of the borough.
BM will ask AH to email around the parts of borough
where local knowledge is needed to complete the survey
and all are asked to help where they can

4) CYCLING AS PART OF WALWORTH RD IMPROVEMENTS
The next meeting is on 18/5/4.
JS will provide email feedback about the current
position

5) BIKE WEEK EVENTS

finalised at the next meeting

d) Sunday Velodrome meeting

e) Tate breakfast
The idea of the ‘bike is the most efficient form of
transport’ photo-op discussed at the AGM has been
questioned by Ollie Hatch who wants to allow the MPs a
day off (humpf – ed.)
But it will still be a great do.
Helpers need to be there from 7:30 to set up.
Volunteers so far EP, SR, SM, JS

f) Bike bus
TFL concept of organising a weekly bus route from
Dulwich to Clerkenwell discussed. The untold riches
promised for our support of this work later proved a
mirage as TFL pulled the plug a few days later citing
difficulties of obtaining insurance so the discussion
not further summarised in these minutes.

scratch racing events of last year. To be run on a

establish how popular such an event would be
